Jon Ciampi, vice president of Product Management at SumTotal Systems oversees activities for all of the company's product marketing and management organizations, while driving the ongoing development of corporate product strategy. Ciampi previously served as vice president and general manager of Performance Management and On Demand Solutions Strategy for SumTotal, where he built the company's market leadership in the performance management industry. Ciampi's executive management career also includes roles as vice president of marketing and product management and senior director of product management for SumTotal. His experience in learning management systems and performance management systems stretches back to the beginning of the decade. Joining Docent in 2002, he was responsible for the product integration efforts during the merger between Docent and Click2learn that resulted in the formation of SumTotal, as well as for the later integration efforts during the acquisition of Pathlore. Prior to these roles, Ciampi founded nSeconds, Inc., a venture-backed startup focused on enterprise wireless applications. He also spent time with Oracle Corporation as a technical consultant. Ciampi holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from University of the Pacific.
