I have a nephew who is an exceptional programmer. He was just recruited from a major US corporation to a French organization looking to expand in the enormous American marketplace. This rather normal process (in the middle of our downturn) reminded me of three things relevant to the Onrec community. First, it was another clear example of how we truly compete globally now for talent. Second, it illustrated the gains we have made. The online tools that were used to create this transaction added productivity (increased speed and lowered costs) into the recruiting process.

Wow -- what a month in history! Sure, we are all hopeful and excited about our new President, but being a technology junkie, I can't help but get excited about how the web is adding productivity to Democracy.
