Salary.com is currently in search of an experienced individual contributor to sell highly technical Human Resources software and solutions into Kansas, Missouri and/or Minnesota enterprises (1,000-10,000 FTEs). The qualified candidate has outside sales experience calling on and closing business with Human Resources executives and other high level decision makers.
You will be responsible for selling Salary.com’s on-demand Compensation software products, data and services (CompAnalyst) to corporate clients in a multi-state territory. You will manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting, uncovering needs, conducting product demonstrations, and relationship building to closing the business.
There is an intensive training program to help jump-start your success. Approximately 35% travel into your territory for face-to-face customer and/or prospect visits is required.
Major Responsibilities include:
1. Prospecting for new clients and cold calling to uncover opportunities
2. Managing the sales cycle from the opportunity to close
3. Providing follow up activity with customers on marketing campaigns or corporate initiatives
4. Leading account strategy sessions for cross-selling opportunities
5. Qualifying new opportunities and articulating probabilities of closure
6. Maintaining complete and accurate documentation of all activity in Salesforce.com CRM
7. Working closely with cross functional teams including Product Marketing, Solutions Consulting and Account Management to drive sales activity
Required Qualifications include:
1. Must have 4+ years of outside sales experience which includes selling HR-related technical software into Human Resources decision makers
2. A history of being in a quota-based position demonstrating proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas with the average deal sizes ranging from $100k-$150k
3. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced sales environment
4. Must be willing to prospect for new business and conduct product demonstrations utilizing WebEx or other online meeting tools
5. Desire to learn highly technical and complex products with the ability to simplify in clear terms to prospective clients
6. A Bachelors degree is required
